The composition of the committees for the examination of undergraduate and dissertation papers 2023 is available HERE

REGISTRATION

In order to take the Bachelor’s exam, the student must have completed all the years of study and must submit to the secretariat (physically) an application file containing the following documents:

  • Application form and Annex on personal data protection
  • The work in printed format (original copy) – hardcover or spiral bound
  • Paper in electronic format on CD in sealed envelope and send by mail to the secretary in charge of the study program (see below)
  • Affidavit of Honesty (with the signature of the coordonator professor)
  • Liquidation sheet with the visa of the 2 services of the University of Bucharest – for the students of the current promotion we have the situation from the two offices of the University, so this document is necessary only in the case of students who are know they have debts, otherwise they will not be able to register unless they have proof of their payment. Students from previous classes registering for the final exam this session will go in person to the two offices to get their signatures.
  • Two ¾ photos
  • Birth certificate (original and simple copy so that the secretariat can certify the original)
  • Marriage certificate – where applicable (original and simple copy so that the secretariat can certify the original)
  • Identity card (simple copy)
  • Baccalaureate diploma (certified true copy – will be used from the student’s file)
  • Documents proving change of name (where applicable)
  • Electronic form for collecting contact details of graduates – The form also contains instructions, so prospective graduates should fill it, then print and sign it and include it in their application file. The link-ul is absolventi.unibuc.ro.
  • The secretariat completes the registration file with the reference of the coordinator of the BA paper.

The MA’s degree final examination consists of the oral presentation of the dissertation thesis

In order to take part in this examination, the student must have completed all the years of study and must submit to the secretariat (physically) a registration file containing the following documents:

FINAL YEAR STUDENTS (BA 3rd Year and MA 2nd Year) AND RE-ENROLLED STUDENTS

Between 18.04. and 05.05.2023 registration forms for Re-examinations (resits /makeup exams) shall be submitted as follows:

  1. registration forms can be submitted for the re-examinations of the second semester of previous years for the period between 15.05 and 11.06.2023.
  2. registration forms can be submitted for all the re-examinations (both semesters) for the exam period 12-18.06.2023.

Please note that for the re-examinations of the current year there is no application and no fee, you can directly retake the respective failed exam.

For the Re-examinations / Grade Improvement period from 19 – 25.06.2023 registration forms will be submitted immediately after the end of the examination period, 12 to 18.06.2023, in case of failed exams. These re-examinations are payable by all students.

Examinations for grade improvement (for maximum 3 disciplines) must also be applied for separately, are not payable, and relate only to the current year (BA 3rd year and MA 2nd year of study) and require the students to have passed all their exams.

Registration forms for re-examinations, accompanied by the receipt of payment of the respective resits (payment can be made at the cashier’s office of the Rectorate of the University of Bucharest, Șos. Panduri nr.90, sector 5, Bucharest or in the bank accounts mentioned below, payment details: “Facultatea de Științe Politice-taxă de restanță”/Faculty of Political Science-re-examination fee), must be submitted to the secretariat (or electronically to the secretary in charge of the respective specialization; email addresses detailed below).

The re-examination fees are as follows:

-The fee for Romanian citizens is 50 lei/exam (IBAN RO67RNCB0076010452620072).

-The fee for foreign citizens is 40 euro/exam (IBAN RO15RNCB0076010452620135).

Students in an additional/supplementary semester can retake all the necessary exams just by submitting the registration form, without paying any fee, as they fulfilled this condition since their registration for the supplementary semester.

2nd Year Undergraduate Students

1) those who have re-examinations from the second semester of the first year of study (of the academic year 2021-2022), will submit registration forms and will pay the fee during the period 18.04-05.05.2023, and will retake the respective exams between 12.06 and 07.07.2023, and those who have re-examinations from the first semester (of the academic year 2021-2022) will follow the same procedure (registration and fee payment) and will retake the respective failed exam between 08.07 and 14.07.2023.

2) Immediately after the end of the examination period 12.06-07.07.2023, registration forms can be submitted for those with re-examinations (from the second semester of previous academic years) with payment of the re-examination fee.

Please note that for the re-examinations of the current year no registration is necessary and no fee is to be paid, so you can just resit the respective exams.

Re-examinations and Grade Improvement will take place from 01.09 to 09.09.2023 (for which a separate registration period will be organized – you will be notified at that time). For all re-examinations, registration and fee payment are necessary. Grade improvement exams (for maximum 3 disciplines) are possible only for the current academic year and also require registration, but are fee-free and the students are required to have passed all their exams.

1st Year BA and 1st Year MA Students

1) can attend the re-examinations period (both semesters) between 08.07 and 14.07.2023 without registration and payment of examination fees.

The extraordinary session of overdue exams for the final years (3rd year BA and 2nd year MA) has been approved and it will take place on the September 1st, 2023 (during one day).

The submission of the applications, as well as the proof of payment of the corresponding fee (50 lei/resit for Romanian students and 40 euro/resit for foreign students from the financing of the foreign exchange account -CPV) takes place in July 12-20, 2023. These documents can be submitted either at the secretary from Calea Plevnei nr. 59 or by email to the secretary managing each program as follows : SPR – gabriela.ifrim@fspub.unibuc.ro , SPE, SPF and SSL – nicoleta.petre@fspub.unibuc.ro , RISE – cristina.andrei@fspub.unibuc.ro , all MA programs – nicoleta.matei@fspub.unibuc.ro

The pattern for the subject must be: section, name and year of study.

The annual tuition fees for the year 2023-2024 approved by the Senate of the University of Bucharest are as follows:

– 4150 lei for BA study programmes in Romanian, that is SPR and SSL study programs

– 4780 lei for BA study programs in French or English, that is SPF, SPE, IRES study programs

– 4780 lei for MA study programs in Romanian, that is EGALES, MRI, MSE study programs

– 5340 lei for MA study programs in foreign languages, that is MPE, MIPA and MCP study programs

– 8250 lei for PhD

Tuition fees can be paid in two instalments (the first by the end of October 2023 and the second by the end of March 2024) or, with the approval of the FSPUB Dean, can be paid in four instalments.

Tuition fees can be paid either at the university cashier’s office or online (by bank transfer/payment order) IBAN RO67RNCB0076010452620072, payment details: “Faculty of Political Science-tuition fee and student name”.

Students who have had their studies interrupted will submit their application for the resumption of studies to the academic year 2023-2024 to the Secretary (at Calea Plevnei, no. 59) between 01-12 September 2023, during opening hours (Mo, We, Th 11.00-14.00, F 10.00-13.00). The application will be accompanied by proof of payment of half of the first semester tuition fee, with the second half of the first semester tuition fee to be paid by the end of October 2023.

APPLICATIONS (ACCOMPANIED BY THE PAYMENT OF HALF OF THE SEMESTER FEE) FOR THE GRANTING OF AN ADDITIONAL SEMESTER IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-2024 MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARIAT OR TO THE SECRETARIAT’S E-MAIL ADDRESS (secretariat@fspub.unibuc.ro) BETWEEN 4 AND 12 SEPTEMBER 2023 (I.E. AFTER THE END OF THE EXTRAORDINARY SESSION FOR FINAL YEAR STUDENTS), DURING OFFICE HOURS.

Students who meet the conditions of Art. 45 (1) of the Regulation on students’ professional activity may apply: “A student who, at the end of his/her studies, after completing the number of semesters (years of study) stipulated in the study plan, has not fully completed his/her academic obligations and has a number of arrears not exceeding 5, may apply for an extension of the duration of his/her studies by 1-2 semesters, under the conditions of Art.222 of the National Education Law no.1/2011 (with fees) and the decisions of the Faculty Council.

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION WILL BE EXPELLED, WITH THE RIGHT TO RE-ENROLMENT UNDER THE CONDITIONS SET OUT BY THE REGULATIONS.
