As part of the double degree agreement with the University of Urbino (Italy) for the English-language program Master in International Public Affairs, the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bucharest launches the competition for 5 Erasmus+ mobility exchanges for the 1st semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
Who can candidate?
Any 1st year student of the MIPA program who holds the EU citizenship or the EU long term residence
Procedures
The candidates should submit an online application by filling in the APPLICATION FORM (https://forms.gle/GN6RRtuGh4TwR18w5) in which they will include a letter of motivation (up to 750 words) and attach a CV (in English). These applications are evaluated at faculty level. If they are declared admitted they will have to submit a set of administrative documents at the Erasmus office of the University of Bucharest and the Erasmus office of the University of Urbino. In these processes, the successful candidates will be supported by the academic coordinator of the MIPA program, conf.univ.dr. Luciana Alexandra Ghica (luciana.ghica@unibuc.ro)

Note: A second round is organized if after the first round there are still available places.
Evaluation
Minimal eligibility
- 1st year student in the MIPA program during the 2024/2025 academic year and continuing studies as 2nd year student in the MIPA program during the 2025/2026 academic year;
- Admitted in the MIPA program with grade 7.50 or more
- Complete application submitted by the deadline (5 April, 23:59).
Points
- Academic motivation and interest in international mobility (40%): points 1 – 10 (maxim), evaluation of the letter of motivation;
- Capacity for successfully pursuing an international mobility (30%): points 1 – 10 (maxim), evaluation of the letter of motivation and CV;
- Language and critical thinking skills (20%): points 1 – 10 (maxim) – the points obtained in the comprehension and critical language skills test at the moment of the admission divided by 10 and rounded to the closest integer;
- Academic performance (10%): GPA for the 1st semester of study.
The final grade is the weighted average of the above criteria (weights in the parentheses). Minim grade for selection: 7.50.
If, on the last eligible place there two or more candidates with the same points, the ranking criteria will be, in this order: 1. The academic motivation and interest in international mobility; 2. The language and critical thinking skills; 3. Admission grade; 4. GPA for the 1st semester of study.
The grant
674* EUR/ month for a minimum of 3 months from the day of registration at the University of Urbino and until the date of finalizing the exams/end of the semester, as agreed with the University of Urbino.
* calculated for 30 days / month
To this grant the following will be added:
- a one-time transport allocation of 309 EUR (calculated based on the standard Erasmus distance between Bucharest and Urbino, https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/ro/resources-and-tools/distance-calculator: 1077,33 km)
- 250 EUR / month for those that qualify for a social support grant in Romania (“bursă socială”)
