The Faculty of Political Science is pleased to invite students to the lecture „Korea-EU Relations” given by Professor Sihong Kim, Director of the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence & Interdisciplinary Centre for Italian Studies, Korea. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session.

 Prof. Dr. Si Hong KIM (MA and PhD from Gregorian University in Rome) is professor of political sociology in the Italian Department of Faculty of European Studies and also EU Studies Department of the Graduate School of International & Area Studies at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), Seoul, Korea. Currently he is Director of the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence which is supported by the European Union. He served two times as Dean of Faculty of European Studies (2021-2023) and of Student Affairs and Human Resources Development (2014-2016) of the University. Prof KIM also served as a member of the Presidential Committee on Youth Employment. He was president of the Korean Society of Contemporary European Studies (KSCES) in 2009. During 2005 and 2007, he served as a member of the Committee on Curricular Development of the Ministry of Education and special advisor on Europe 2020 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Korea. He has been visiting professors at the University of Delaware in the USA, University of Rome, La Sapienza, of Italy and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
