The team of the French-Romanian MA „Politics in a Global Age: States, Borders and Societies”, in collaboration with lecturers and researchers from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, the University of Lausanne, EHESS Marseille, the Université Libre de Bruxelles, MuCEM and the Archives Nationales d’Outre-Mer (Aix-en-Provence), is organising the training programme Medical Matters in Post/colonial Situations that will take place online and in Marseille & Aix-en-Provence (February – May 2024).

The course will cover three main themes: ‘Colonial and Postcolonial History of Medicine’, ‘Urban Space and (In)Visible Sites of Postcolonial Memory’ & ‘Political History of Science and of Museum Collections’. Funding available for students from: National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of Bucharest, Université libre de Bruxelles, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Sapienza Università di Roma, Stockholm University, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, University of Glasgow, Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, and Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar.
