CV | Caterina Preda is a professor, doctor of political science of the University of Bucharest (2009) with a doctoral research internships at the Institut des Hautes Etudes de l’Amérique Latine – Paris 3 and Santiago de Chile. Caterina Preda is entitled to coordinate PhDs in political science from 2022 and is affiliated with the Doctoral School of Political Science. She is interested in comparative politics and especially the comparison between Latin America and Eastern Europe (Chile and Romania), and she conducted research projects on the cultural policies of the dictatorships in the South and Eastern Europe, the Union of Plastic artists in Romania, the art of memorialization from a trans-regional perspective, artistic representation of Roma people. Research interests: cultural policies in dictatorships and democracies, the relationship between art and politics, artistic practices of memorialization in post-dictatorial contexts.
